The marketing is ramping up for ‘Scream VI’ as the release date of 8th March 2023 gets closer!
Following the Big Game Spot trailer, 13 character posters have been released. Fans can see all of the main characters holding Ghostface’s knife, which has a reflection of the iconic killer. Take a look at the posters in the gallery below:
Since the official trailer for the film debuted, fans have been worried about the fates of the characters that survived the last film. Gale Weathers (played in all six films by Courteney Cox) seems to be the biggest cause of concern as she’s seen receiving her first call from Ghostface. Is the franchise about to kill off another legacy character?
Fans have been pouring over every detail of every trailer released, trying to piece together all the clues to work out who the killer(s) is this time. We highlighted some of our biggest spots from the trailer.
Theories have been wild with fans speculating that Stu Macher (Matthew Lillard), one of the original killers from ‘Scream’, could be about to make a come back. It seemed he was killed off in the first film but that hasn’t stopped fans working out ways he could have survived.
‘Scream VI’ relocates the action from Woodsboro to New York as Sam (Melissa Barrera), Tara (Jenna Ortega), Mindy (Jasmin Savoy Brown) and Chad (Mason Gooding) try to leave the events of the last film behind them. They are joined by returning characters Gale (Courteney Cox) and Kirby Reed (Hayden Panettiere).
New cast members for the film include Jack Champion, Henry Czerny, Liana Liberato, Dermot Mulroney, Devyn Nekoda, Tony Revolori, Josh Segarra, and Samara Weaving.
The new film is directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin & Tyler Gillett with a screenplay from James Vanderbilt & Guy Busick. The film is based on characters created by Kevin Williamson.
‘Scream VI’ will be released in cinemas in the UK on 8th March 2023.
