Actor Katie McGlynn is the second celebrity to leave ‘Strictly Come Dancing‘ 2021.
Tonight’s result show brought Movie Week to a close for another year as Katie and her partner Gorka Marquez departed the competition. They found themselves in the bottom-two opposite TV presenter Judi Love and her partner Graziano Di Prima.
Both couples performed their routines again; Judi and Graziano performed their Charleston to ‘When Youāre Good to Mama’ from ‘Chicago’ then Katie and Gorka performed their American Smooth to ‘Cruella De Vil’ from ‘Cruella’.
Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and Shirley Ballas all chose to save Judi and Graziano while Anton Du Beke chose to save Katie and Gorka.
When asked by Tess about their time on the show, Katie said. āI have absolutely loved my time, I am so happy I got to be Cruella, and dance with this amazing guy, I have loved every second of it. Thank you for being an amazing partner, we have laughed so much, and I get to walk away with an amazing friend. Thanks so much for teaching me in your funny ways, we have had so much fun.ā
Gorka was then asked if he had any words for his partner, Katie and said: āI have loved it, the love that she has for the show. I think talking for myself, and all the pros, when we come to the show, it isnāt just about someone who can dance, it is someone who wants to learn, who wants to improve, and makes us love what we do, and makes our job enjoyable and easy. Thatās what I had with Katie and I will never forget this experience, itās been incredible.ā
Tonightās show featured a dance from the ‘Strictly’ professionals, inspired by 2021 smash hit film āIn the Heightsā. There was also a very special music performance from star of stage and screen Ben Platt who performed āYou Will Be Foundā from the movie ‘Dear Evan Hansen’.
The remaining thirteen couples will take to the dancefloor next when ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ returns on Saturday 16th October at 7pm with the results show on Sunday 17th October at 7:10pm on BBC One.
