Gurinder Chadha OBE’s (Bend It Like Beckham) eagerly anticipated new series Beecham House, arrives on ITV this Sunday.
Viewers will get a treat as ITV will be showing the first two episodes on consecutive nights, ensuring that you get hooked on the 6-part series. Watch the trailer below:
The ensemble cast includes Tom Bateman, Lesley Nicol, Lara Dutta, Leo Suter, Dakota Blue Richards, Grégory FItoussi, Pallavi Sharda, Bessie Carter, Adil Ray, Viveik Kalra, Kulvinder Ghir, Goldy Notay, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Amer Chadha-Patel, Trupti Khamkar, Roshan Seth, Marc Warren, Denzil Smith, Vicky Arora, Arunoday Singh, Media Shakar and Rudraksh Singh.
Beecham House is set on the cusp of the 19th century in Delhi before the British ruled in that region. The drama depicts the fortunes of the residents of Beecham House, an imposing mansion surrounded by acres of exotic woods and pristine lawns.
It was written and directed by Chadha, and comes from award-winning production company, Bend It TV.
The synopsis for episode 1 is:
John Beecham, a former soldier in the East India Company, arrives at a mansion determined to leave the past behind him and start a new life, but he carries in his arms a secret – a baby of mixed parentage who must be kept in hiding.
