Tropico 6 beta update released

We’ve already announced that Tropico 6 is going to be delayed until March 29th, 2019 but that hasn’t stopped Kalypso media pushing updates to the beta version. The closed beta is available to everyone who has pre-ordered Tropico 6 on Steam or at the  Kalypso shop. If you want to have a look at the game in action before you part with your hard earned cash then check out our preview.

January’s update includes the brand-new campaign mission ‘Better Red Than Dead’, numerous improvements to buildings, citizen interaction and customization options, balancing, UI improvements and general bug fixes. You can read the full change log for more information.

Taken from the official Kalypso forum:

“Fellow Tropicans!

Today’s update comes with a new campaign map and other new additions, plus bug- and gameplay fixes.

Please restart any current missions and sandbox games after updating the beta.
Please do not attempt to load and continue games from saves that were created in older versions of the beta.
This could lead to unexpected issues regarding the simulation of Tropicans and the overall stability of the game.

Thanks for all your feedback and reports so far!
We hope you enjoy the beta!

Viva Tropico! Viva El Presidente!”
