We’ve had quite a wait for Strike Back season 7, now known as Strike Back: Silent War (or Revolution if you’re in the US). The last season, Strike Back: Retribution, began airing here in the UK back in October 2017 and concluded in March 2018.

Wait don’t you mean Strike Back season 6?
Here in the UK, Strike Back: Silent War is the seventh season of Strike Back. If you’re watching in the US it’s actually being marketed as Strike Back: Revolution or season 6. The first Strike Back season starred Richard Armitage and Andrew Lincoln before being rebooted with Philip Winchester and Sullivan Stapleton.
Last season Strike Back: Retribution was the latest reboot starring Warren Brown, Daniel MacPherson, Alin Sumarwata and Roxanne McKee.

When will Strike Back: Silent War (season 7) premiere?
Here in the UK we were lucky to get Retribution before the US but it looks like the US is getting the new season before us.
Strike Back: Revolution is set to premiere on Cinemax in the US at 10pm ET on January 25th. Here in the UK, Strike Back: Silent War will air on Sky One at 9pm on February 28th, 2019 so beware of spoilers online.
Who is the main cast for Strike Back: Silent War (season 7)?
Three of Section 20 from Retribution (season 6) are returning for this season. They are:
- Warren Brown as Thomas ‘Mac’ McAllister
- Daniel MacPherson as Samuel Wyatt
- Alin Sumarwata as Gracie Novin
Wait, what happened to Roxanne McKee?
Roxanne McKee played Captain Natalie Reynolds in Strike Back: Retribution (season 6). She has not been announced as a cast member for Silent War or featured in any of the promotional material.

Three new cast members have been confirmed. They are:
- Jamie Bamber will play Colonel Alexander Coltrane. He’s Section 20’s new commanding officer.
- Yasemin Allen will play Katrina Zarkova. She’s a highly trained rogue Russian operative with questionable loyalties.
- Varada Sethu will play Lance corporal Manisha Chetri.

Where was Strike Back: Silent War filmed?
The entire series was filmed on location in Malaysia.
What is the official plot of Strike Back: Silent War (series 7)?
When a Russian bomber crashes in the South China Sea, three covert special-ops soldiers of Section 20 – Gracie Novin, Thomas “Mac” McAllister and Samuel Wyatt – are reunited and sent on a mission to investigate.
Arriving in Malaysia, they cross paths with Katrina Zarkova, a highly trained rogue Russian operative with questionable loyalties. Under orders from their new commanding officer, Col. Alexander Coltrane, S20 pursues the valuable stolen contents of the downed Russian jet across Southeast Asia.
Working alongside the Malaysian police to shut down a Triad gang in Kuala Lumpur, the team uncovers a corrupt plot by a wealthy Indian nationalist running for Parliament, plunges into the jungles of the Golden Triangle in Myanmar, and faces off against mercenary drug agents and terrifying warlords as they unmask a conspiracy that threatens to push the world to the brink of global conflict.
What about Scott and Stonebridge, will they feature again?
There’s no word yet if Damien Scott (Sullivan Stapleton) and Michael Stonebridge (Philip Winchester) will feature again this season. It would be fantastic if they did but we aren’t expecting them to save the day this time. If we eventually get that long rumoured Strike Back movie then hopefully they’ll feature there.
Will there be a Strike Back season 8?
Funny you should ask, Cinemax has already renewed Strike Back for season 8. Sadly season 8 is set to be the final season.
