On the day Oliver (Stephen Amell) was set to be released from prison, he had to go up against Diaz (Kirk Acevedo) on the latest episode of Arrow.
After confronting Stanley (Brendan Fletcher) about the murder he committed, Oliver promised Turner (Michael Jai White) that he would help him clear his name once out of prison. The two frenemies made an unlikely partnership when Diaz arrived at the prison and bribed a guard to release him so he could kill Oliver.
Oliver tried to warn the guards about Diaz but they ignored him. Oliver broke out of his cell and tried to alert Team Arrow but failed when Diaz cut off all communications. Diaz also released all the prisoners and started a riot.
Turner helped Oliver get a final showdown with Diaz. The two got into a tense fight and Oliver stabbed Diaz and locked him in his former cell. Stanley meanwhile killed Brick (Vinnie Jones) and escaped.
Oliver was released from prison and was greeted by Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) and Diggle (David Ramsey).
The next episode of the season is Unmasked. Felicity stands by her recent choices about her family; Diggle and Lyla look further into the Dante painting that Curtis found.
