Rak-Su have their eyes set on chart success with the release of their new single I Want You to Freak.
Released via Syco Music, the track is the latest taster of what’s to come from their upcoming debut album. The song is a collaboration with producers/writers Banx & Ranx (Charli XCX, Gorillaz) and Rykeyz (Wiz Khalifa), and it features a sample of Adina Howard’s classic Freak Like Me.
Of course the Rak-Su boys have been their own dancehall spin on it, making the song their own and reminding us of that infectious energy we loved about them during their time on The X-Factor.
The track arrives after a busy summer that saw Rak-Su on tour with fellow X-Factor champs Little Mix. Earlier this year they released Pyro Ting and of course they topped the iTunes chart and hit number 3 on the UK singles chart with their debut single Dimelo, a collaboration with Wyclef Jean and Naughty Boy.
Rak-Su were so popular on The X-Factor that they had five songs in the iTunes Top 6 the day after they won the competition.
Ashley, Jamaal, Myles and Mustafa have been hard at work on their debut album with producing and writing talent including Wayne Hector (Nicki Minaj), Rykeyz (Wiz Khalifa), Jamie Scott (Ed Sheeran), MNEK, Ali Tamposi (Justin Bieber) and Grammy Award Winning Stephen ‘Di Genius’ McGregor (Drake).
