Kacey Musgraves releases new video for High Horse

Country star Kacey Musgraves has released the video for her latest single High Horse.

The clip was directed by Hannah Lux Davis, who has worked with artists including Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato and Little Mix. It shows Musgraves in a 1970s office daydreaming about telling off her co-workers, before blowing off steam at a karaoke night with a white horse, plenty of sequins and even a Donald Trump lookalike.

Musgraves has also released two new remixes of the 70s disco-influenced track, which feature DJ Kue and Violents.

High Horse is the third single from Musgraves’ psychedelic fourth album Golden Hour, which was released in March to critical acclaim and debuted at number 6 on the Official UK Album Chart – her highest ever chart position. Her previous albums Same Trailer Different Park and Pageant Material debuted at number 1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart, making her the first solo female in five years to top the chart with her debut record. She’s also won two Grammy Awards – Best Country Album and Best Country Song for Merry Go Round – two CMA Awards including Song of the Year for Follow Your Arrow, and an ACM Award for Album of the Year.

Musgraves is currently supporting former One Direction member Harry Styles on his first headline tour in the US. She’ll return to the UK in the autumn for her Oh, What A World: Tour, playing 10 dates nationwide including a show at London’s Wembley Arena. No stranger to the UK live circuit, she’s also appeared at C2C Festival twice – headlining the 2018 event – and performed at the Royal Albert Hall.
