C2C 2018 – Jillian Jacqueline profile

Singer-songwriter Jillian Jacqueline may seem like she’s come out of nowhere but that couldn’t be further from the truth.

Following years of hard graft that saw her writing and touring relentlessly, 2017 saw Jacqueline start to make her mark on the Country music industry. Signed to Big Loud Records, Jacqueline took a unique approach to releasing her music by pushing out four songs – Reasons, Hate Me, God Bless This Mess and Bleachers – over the course of the year, all accompanied by music videos.

As well as fans hearing Jacqueline’s distinctive voice and bold approach to storytelling, fans also became acquainted with the artist’s eye for aesthetics and fashion. Each of the four videos are eye-catching and together they helped to build Jacqueline’s identity beyond the music. She has a penchant for 60s and 70s style but her music is undeniable traditional Country with a modern twist.

2017 heralded the arrival of Jacqueline’s remarkable EP Side A, which was one of our Top 10 Country releases of the year. It included the four songs fans had already heard along with the punchy Holier Than Thou and the refreshingly honest Sugar and Salt, along with three acoustic tracks.

In October Jacqueline made her first trip to the UK to perform as part of the inaugural Country Music Week. Through her performances she created a buzz and fans were delighted to hear that she’s going to be back in March to perform at The O2 Arena in London on the Spotlight Stage for C2C: Country to Country 2018.

That won’t be the only chance to see her as she’s also performing at the Bluebird CafĆ© on Saturday 10th March and on the BBC Radio 2 Stage on Sunday 11th March.

Her debut single Reasons has just gone to Country radio and it’s already starting to gain traction. Jacqueline also recently told us that she’ll be releasing new music very soon!.

If you haven’t seen her yet, make time in your C2C schedule to check out at least one of her performances. We can guarantee you won’t regret it!
