Kacey Musgraves is returning to C2C: Country to Country in March to headline the second day at London’s O2 Arena.
The singer-songwriter previously performed at the 2016 event where she had the unenviable task of following Chris Stapleton on stage. Known for speaking her mind and not shying away from pushing the boundaries of Country music, Musgraves has had a lengthy journey to success.
In 2007 she competed on reality series Nashville Star and between 2000 and 2008 she released a number of independent albums and EPs. Musgraves’ major label debut came in 2013 when she signed with Mercury Nashville and released Same Trailer, Different Park. Soon after Musgraves started picking up awards including a CMA for New Artist of the Year and two Grammys.
Despite Country radio being relatively unsupportive of Musgraves’ music, she has managed to achieve two Top 10 hits – Merry Go ‘Round and Follow Your Arrow – and she’s a consistent album seller too. Same Trailer, Different Park was certified Gold in the US and 2015 follow-up Pageant Material is heading that way too.
In 2016 Musgraves released a well-received Christmas album titled A Very Kacey Christmas and since then she’s been hard at work on her third studio album, Golden Hour, due for release during the course of 2018. Fans have been waiting patiently and it’s looking unlikely that the album is going to arrive before her C2C headline performance.
Alongside her music, Musgraves has co-wrote the song Undermine which appeared in the first season of Nashville and she even made a guest appearance during the show’s fifth season.
