Jennifer Lawrence stars in a brand new second trailer for Red Sparrow, along with new poster artwork.

Red Sparrow is directed by Francis Lawrence with a screenplay by Justin Haythe, based on the novel by Jason Matthews, and is produced by Peter Chernin and Steve Zaillan.

Jennifer Lawrence (Passengers), Joel Edgerton (The Great Gatsby), Matthias Schoenaerts (A Little Chaos), Jeremy Irons (Justice League), Mary-Louise Parker (RED 2) and Charlotte Rampling (Jeune & Jolie) star in the action fest.

Dominika Egorova (Jennifer Lawrence) is drafted against her will to become a “sparrow,” a trained seductress in the Russian security service. Dominika learns to use her body as a weapon, but struggles to maintain her sense of self during the dehumanizing training process.

Finding her power in an unfair system, she emerges as one of the program’s strongest assets. Her first target is Nate Nash (Joel Edgerton), a CIA officer who handles the agency’s most sensitive infiltration of Russian intelligence.

The two young operatives fall into a spiral of attraction and deception, which threatens their careers, allegiances and the security of both countries.

Based on the book by former CIA officer Jason Matthews, Red Sparrow reunites Jennifer Lawrence with her Hunger Games director, Francis Lawrence with Joel Edgerton, Matthias Schoenaerts, Charlotte Rampling, Jeremy Irons, and Mary Louise Parker rounding out the cast.

Jennifer Lawrence’s star has risen since The Hunger Games franchise launched her to super-stardom. Recently, Lawrence has picked some bold projects like Passengers, alongside Chris Pratt (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2), Mother! from Darren Aronofsky which drew mixed reviews from critics and the criminally-underrated Joy alongside Robert De Niro.

She can next be seen reprising her role as Raven/Mystique in the upcoming X-Men: Dark Phoenix, which lands in cinemas on 2nd November 2018.
