Dustin Lynch clinches fourth week at number one with Small Town Boy

Dustin Lynch is celebrating his hit Small Town Bown sticking at number one on the Billboard Country Airplay chart for a fourth consecutive week.

The song now is the longest running number one on the chart so far in 2017. Already certified Gold, the song is the first to spend four weeks at number 1 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart since Thomas Rhett’s Die a Happy Man in January 2016.

ā€œI always knew ā€˜Small Town Boyā€™ was something special, but to be #1 for four weeks is absolutely incredible,ā€ says Lynch. ā€œItā€™s been amazing to see people embrace this song and to have the continued support of Country radio. If I had to sum up my ā€˜current moodā€™ right now, itā€™d definitely be pumped!ā€

Small Town Boy is Lynch’s fifth consecutive chart-topper and the follow-up to Gold certified number 1 Seein’ Red. Both tracks are taken from Lynch’s new album Current Mood, which debuted at number 2 on the Billboard Top Country Albums Chart.

Lynch’s fastest-rising single to date, Small Town Boy was penned by Rhett Akins, Ben Hayslip, and Kyle Fishman and produced by Zach Crowell.

Fans can see Lynch performing Small Town Boy on CBS’ The Talk on Friday 6th October at 2pm ET/1pm CT). He will also headline The Ride Or Die Tour beginning 3rd November in Fayetteville, NC with support from Michael Ray, LANCO and Ryan Hurd on select dates.
