Act 3 Games, a new independent video game studio in Los Angeles, have announced that The Fidelio Incident is available now on Steam. It’s the first title from Act 3 Games whose mission is to create high-quality, provocative story-driven games based upon real events in our history.

The Fidelio Incident is a single-player, first-person thriller set off the coast of Iceland. After a violent plane crash, Stanley must search a desolate frozen island in search of his wife Leonore while covering up any traces of their identity. Rescue help is on the way, the past must remain hidden. “They can’t find out who we are!”

Stanley is played by Glenn Keogh, known for his roles in Transformers Age of Extinction, Once Upon A Time, and Sons of Anarchy. Glenn was born in Ireland. Leonore is played by Bess Harrison, whose credits include The Temple and Memory, for Amazon Studios.

Act 3 Games was founded by God of War 3 Art Director Ken Feldman in 2014. The Fidelio Incident was created and advised by many ex-members of the God of War franchise.

Talking about The Fidelio Incident, Ken Feldman said:

“For The Fidelio Incident, inspirations include Dear Esther, Gone Home, and Firewatch as well as character dramas like Homeland, Lost, and The Americans. The game was also inspired by Beethoven’s only opera, Fidelio. We used the opera’s premise as inspiration for the backstory, and then re-imagined it for a modern setting.”

Ken continued:

“We’ve been working on The Fidelio Incident for 3 years, and we wanted to release it out of nowhere to capture the emotional feeling when you’ve just seen a Netflix show or played something you immediately have to talk about. The Fidelio Incident is a provocative thriller that will hook you from the start.”

The Fidelio Incident is priced at £10.99 but is available for a discounted launch price of £7.25 (a 34% saving) until May 30th. Download the game or add it to your wishlist at SteamPowered.com.
