Savitar revealed the reason for his being on the latest episode of The Flash.

A time remnant of Barry (Grant Gustin), Savitar was created by his future self. He was shunned by Team Flash so he ran back in time to become Savitar and explained that he needed to kill Iris (Candice Patton) so that Barry would be forced to create him in the future.

Cisco (Carlos Valdes) came up with the idea of stopping Barry creating new memories to prevent Savitar from remembering their strategies but it resulted in Barry and Savitar losing their memories and Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale) losing his powers.

Without his memories Barry gave a poor testimony in a court case that saw a pyromaniac released, which resulted in an attack on Central City. Killer Frost (Danielle Panabaker) helped Cisco and Julian (Tom Felton) develop a way to help Barry get his memories back so that Savitar would get his memories too.

Irish helped Barry get his memories back by using the death of his mother. Barry stopped the fire and saved the day with the help of Wally.

Elsewhere H.R. (Tom Cavanagh) and Tracy (Anne Dudek) embarked on romance and Tracy completed her speed force trap.

The next episode of the season is Infantino Street. With just 24 hours left before Savitar murders Iris, Barry realises his last hope of saving the woman he loves rests with Captain Cold.
