Strike Back season 6 first-look image released

Meet the new Section 20.

We’ve got to admit we were pretty upset when the final episode of Strike Back aired back in July 2015. It was a great show and we really missed not having a new season to look forward to last year.

When Sky and Cinemax announced they were rebooting the show in December we were absolutely delighted at the news. The new season is written by Jack Lothian and filming is now underway on location in Jordan and Hungary. The sixth season is expected to feature 10 episodes and news on the cast and plot is starting to appear.

Below is a first look image at the new Section 20 team. They are Sergeant Samuel Wyatt (Daniel MacPherson – The Shannara Chronicles), Natalie Roberts (Roxanne McKee – Game of Thrones), Sergeant Daniel ‘Mac’ McAllister (Warren Brown – Luther) and Gracie Novin (Alin Sumarwata – Neighbours).

The Strike Back reboot cast is also set to feature Katherine Kelly (Class) as Jane Lowry, Nina Sosanya (Last Tango in Halifax) as Adeena Donovan and Trevor Eve (Waking the Dead) as Morgan Ives.

Disavowed and disbanded, the Section programme is restored in order to track down a notorious terrorist following a brutal prison break. Tasked with covert military intelligence and high-risk operations, the resurrected unit embarks on a lethal manhunt that will uncover a vast web of interconnected criminal activity. As the team journey across the Middle East and Europe, they uncover a deadly conspiracy which threatens to overwhelm them all and change the face of modern warfare forever.

Philip Winchester and Sullivan Stapleton aren’t currently set to reprise their roles as Michael Stonebridge and Damian Scott due to other commitments. That doesn’t stop us hoping for a cameo or appearance in a future series though.

EF will bring you more news on the Strike Back reboot as it is announced.
