Popular character Bart McQueen is returning to Hollyoaks after a 4 year absence it has been announced.
Hollyoaks announced the surprise return through Hollygoss, their social media series, showing fans Bart’s return to the village as he heads straight to his Auntie Myra (Nicole Barber-Lane). Jonny Clarke will be reprising his role as Bart and he’s sure to cause some mischief now he’s back.
As per a press release from Hollyoaks:
Bart will arrive in the village with Nanna McQueen for Celine’s funeral, but he also holds a secret with him that could stir some villagers…
Bart’s most memorable storylines include his relationships with Sinead O’Connor and Jasmine Costello, growing cannabis in the McQueen’s attic and his involvement with the iconic bus crash at the weddings of Ste, Doug, Cindy and Tony.
Viewers last saw Bart in 2014 when he and Joel’s plan to scam Brendan Brady went wrong. They both fled the village just before Brendan could catch them.
Talking about his return, Jonny said, “I’m so happy to be back at Hollyoaks. I can’t wait for people to see the way Bart has changed since the last time he was in the village. He’s definitely going to ruffle a few feathers with a sinister secret!”
