Last night’s 2016 CMT Music Awards was full of surprises when it came to the performances and one that we weren’t expecting was Cam joining forces with Fifth Harmony.

The singer came together with the girl band to mash up their hits Mayday and Work From Home. The performance began with Cam singing Mayday utilising Fifth Harmony as her back-up singers. Things then switched up as Fifth Harmony took over to perform their hit single Work From Home with Cam taking on some of the vocals.

On paper the performance shouldn’t have worked but it actually worked pretty well. Hearing Cam put her vocals to the pop/R&B hit was pretty cool and they all sounded fantastic.

Sadly Cam didn’t pick up any awards last night but her performance with Fifth Harmony will surely have everyone talking about her!
