The rise of singer-songwriter Kacey Musgraves is one that is uniting fans of Country music, both modern and contemporary.

Musgraves was discovered in 2008 by independent record label Triple Pop before signing with Mercury Records in 2012. She also contributed the song Undermine to the first season of ABC’s hit country music drama Nashville, and it was recorded by Hayden Panettiere and Charles Esten.

Following the release of her debut album Same Trailer Different Park in 2013, Musgraves has established herself as one of the most critically acclaimed stars in the genre. Known for her observational and introspective lyrics, Musgraves enjoyed hits with Merry Go ‘Round, Blowin’ Smoke, Follow Your Arrow and Keep it to Yourself.

Musgraves’ latest album Pageant Material was released in 2015 and it topped the US Country Albums Chart. The album produced the catchy lead single Biscuits and current single Dime Store Cowgirl has been working its way up the charts.

In terms of awards Musgraves has picked up lots of nominations and in 2013 she took home the CMA for New Artist of the Year. She also picked up a slew of nominations for Miranda Lambert’s Mama’s Broke Heart, which she co-wrote with Brandy Clark and Shane McAnally.

For this year’s C2C: Country to Country Musgraves will be the third artist to grace the main stage on the third and final day of the festival. She will be taking to the stage ahead of the day’s headliner Eric Church and her show is set to be one of the highlights of the weekend.

Kacey Musgraves will perform at C2C: Country to Country at London’s O2 Arena on Sunday 13th March 2016. Watch the music video for Are You Sure featuring Willie Nelson below:
