C2C: Brantley Gilbert spotlight

Today we continue to shine a spotlight on the artists performing at this year’s C2C: Country To Country Festival in London next month.

Yesterday we put the spotlight on Kip Moore, who will open the second day of the festival, and today we’re turning our attention to Brantley Gilbert. The country-rock star performed at the first C2C back in 2012 where he opened the second day.

Brantley released his debut album Modern Day Prodigal Son was released by Average Joe’s, the label founded by country-rap artist Colt Ford. The album enjoyed moderate success but it was his second album Halfway To Heaven, released in 2010 and reissued by Valory Music Co, that saw him make his breakthrough.

Halfway To Heaven produced two number one US Country hits – Country Must Be Country Wide and You Don’t Know Her Like I Do – and hit the Top 5 on the US Country Chart and the Billboard 200. The album produced two more Top 30 singles in the shape of Kick It in the Sticks and More Than Miles, taking Halfway To Heaven’s sales to over one million in the US alone.

In 2013 Brantley released Bottoms Up, the first single from his third album Just As I Am, and scored his third number one single. Just As I Am was released in 2014 and has so far sold in excess of 700,000 copies. To date the album has produced Top 15 single Small Town Throwdown featuring Justin Moore and Thomas Rhett and new single One Hell of an Amen which is climbing fast up the charts.

“I have always said that each of my albums has told a story… my story, and this album is no different. This one picks up where Halfway To Heaven left off,” said Brantley. “I have gone through a lot the past few years… a lot of highs and lows and all of that is reflected in this project. My fans know I’m a straight shooter so I didn’t leave anything out. I think there is something for everyone – from my party side to the gentler stuff. I can’t wait to share this new music with the BG Nation.”

Brantley will inject a bit of rock into the proceedings during C2C and his set is sure to be one you won’t want to miss.

Brantley Gilbert will perform at C2C: Country To Country 2015 at Londonā€™s O2 Arena on Sunday 8th March 2015. For more information and tickets head over to http://www.c2c-countrytocountry.com. Watch the video for Brantley Gilbert’s One Hell of an Amen below:
