Mark Wright stopped by ITV’s Lorraine this morning to talk about the upcoming Strictly Come Dancing Live tour due to kick off next week.
The TV/radio presenter told Lorraine that he injured himself in the gym two nights ago and it may affect his participation in the tour. āI was in the gym just two nights ago and Iāve really damaged my neck and back. The tour starts next week so Iām hoping Iāll be ok, fingers crossed!ā
During the interview he opened up about his Strictly journey explaining how tough he found it. āIt was hard for me because I couldnāt dance for toffee so I had to put in 12 to 14 hours a day everyday. My personal life was on holdā¦ I didnāt get to see my friends much so it was a tough few months but I loved every minute of it and Iām glad I gave it my all.ā
Mark will be marrying his fiancee, actress Michelle Keegan, later this year and he told Lorraine all about the planning for the big day. āI think being a guy, with a wedding you canāt really win because if you get involved youāre told your ideas are wrong and if you donāt get involved youāre told you donāt care so you have to get involved basically and just accept that your ideas are not right and just help out when you can. But Michelle knows what she wants and itās her day.ā
He also gushed about his love for Michelle saying, āSheās a lovely girl, sheās not just my fiance, sheās truly my best friend. We have so much fun and sheās an absolute gem.ā
We hope that Mark recovers quickly so fans are able to see him dancing with Karen Hauer once again on the Strictly tour when it kicks off next week.
