Take That launch III with intimate Google Play event

Take That teamed up with Google Play for a very intimate album launch party today to mark the release of their new album III, which is streaming exclusively on Google Play.

The event was held earlier today at Dover Street Arts Club with a small group of about 80 fans in attendance. Gary Barlow, Mark Owen and Howard Donald took to the stage to play an acoustic set featuring their latest number 1 single These Days and gems from their catalogue including Back For Good and Shine.

The fans in attendance met and had their picture taken with Take That who held a signing for them after the performance. The group was also presented with a cake by Google Play to celebrate the album release and streaming partnership.

Take That commented, “We’ve always wanted to do something like this for an album release and it was amazing to see everyone having a great time. It’s probably one of the most intimate venues we’ve played a gig in since the early years.”

III is available to stream exclusively on Google Play until 2015.
