Take That to switch on Regent Street Christmas Lights

Take That are to switch on the Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb themed Christmas Lights on London’s Regent Street this Sunday.

The trio – Mark Owen, Gary Barlow and Howard Donald – will push the button and Londonā€™s Heart Breakfast presenters Jamie Theakston and Emma Bunton will host the event. They will be joined on stage by fellow Heart presenters including Mark Wright, Jason Donovan, Jenni Falconer, Toby Anstis and JK and Lucy.

Union J will kick off the proceedings at 4pm with a live performance. Jessie Ware, West End smash hit musical The Jersey Boys and Britainā€™s Got Talent stars The Jack Pack will also perform. The official switch on will take place at 5pm, followed by a spectacular fireworks display.

Take That said, ā€œTurning on the Christmas lights in London is like the starter gun for the main event. Itā€™s the official start to the party season. Weā€™re really looking forward to flicking the switch on the Regent Street lights next Sunday.ā€

Heart Breakfast co-presenter Emma Bunton said, “Christmas is my favourite time of the year, so I can’t wait to team up with Jamie and the other Heart presenters to start London’s official countdown to the festive season. I’m also really looking forward to sharing the stage with the gorgeous Take That. Regent Street, get ready to scream!”

From 12 noon on Sunday 16 November all the family can enjoy on street entertainment as well as offers in many of the stores, taking advantage of the traffic-free environment to enhance their Christmas shopping experience.
