Grumpy Cat’s Worst Christmas Ever will premiere in the UK on Lifetime at 9pm on Thursday 4th December 2014.
The live-action Lifetime Christmas Special follows the world famous internet curmudgeon Grumpy Cat and her sour outlook on the holidays. Grumpy Cat is voice by Parks & Recreation actress Aubrey Plaza.
The synopsis for the special is:
Grumpy Cat (real name “Tardar Sauce”) makes her acting debut exclusively on Lifetime as a lonely cat living in a pet shop. Initially optimistic and full of Christmas cheer, weeks of being passed over by potential owners gives this feline the Christmas blues, until a very special 12-year-old girl named Chrystal (Megan Charpentier) enters the pet store and falls in love with Grumpy Cat.
A unique friendship is formed between the two when Chrystal finds she is the only person who can hear this unique feline talk. As the Christmas rush gathers pace, the newly-formed duo is thrust into a series of seasonal adventures, which encourages Grumpy Cat to confront her surly attitude.
Will Grumpy Cat learn the true meaning of Christmas? Or will it be, in her words: the “Worst. Christmas. Ever?”
