Bestival broadcasted on TV

Festival season is all well and good but sometimes even though we wish it so we can’t make all those wonderful festivals we set out to do. This year was the case for the wonderful Bestival, which took place on the Isle of Wight once more between the 4th and 7th September. This year though we can feel a little better by catching up on all the action on TV merely ten days after the event finished.

Channel 4 will be broadcasting the Bestival 2014 highlights tonight, 17th September at midnight, capturing the weekends biggest acts and performances. From the comfort of your home you’ll be able to enjoy live shows from Clean Bandit, Major Lazer, Foals, Beck, Sam Smth, Chvrches, Disclosure, Basement Jaxx and none other than Chic featuring Nilfe Rogers.

Interviews of your favourite stars will also be on the bill including Nile Rodgers, the hilarious Cuban Brothers, Paloma Faith and Basement Jaxx and of course you will see Bestival’s Desert Island Disco paradise filled with its Besti-goers.

Curator and organiser Rob Da Bank said: “Well, what can I say? That was probably the best Bestival we’ve ever done, so to have it expertly captured by the power of TV is pretty special. With some exceptional performances from the weekend’s top acts, like Foals, Disclosure and, of course, Chic, I’ll be tuning in to Channel 4, so I can actually enjoy it, now that I’m not running around like my head’s on fire!”

So whether you were at Bestival and feel the blues or you couldn’t make it make sure you tune it to Channel 4 tonight at midnight.
