Get your camping gear dusted off because fans of film premières in the capital are set for a real treat! Sony Pictures Releasing (UK) today have announced that the World Première of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is taking place in good old London on Thursday April 10th. The film is released in cinemas across the UK and Ireland on April 18th.
The Odeon Cinema in Leicester Square will once again play host to the spectacular event with the cast and filmmakers of the highly anticipated new movie all expected to swing into town to walk the red carpet.
Peter Parker aka Spider-Man aka Andrew Garfield, will be joined by Emma Stone (Gwen Stacy), Jamie Foxx (Electro), and Dane DeHaan (Harry Osborn), with director Marc Webb and producers Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach expected to appear.
On the news that London will, for the first time in Spider-Man movie history, host a world première, Brit star Andrew Garfield said, “I’m delighted to see the World Premiere of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 take place in my home town. I can’t wait to present this movie to audiences across the UK.”
In addition to the London Leicester Square Première event, fans across the UK and Ireland will also have the chance to be part of this occasion with The Amazing Spider-Man 2 simultaneously shown at 20 regional premières. It should be a very memorable event for fans of Marvel’s most popular superhero!
