Who will win Dancing On Ice 2014?

The final ever Dancing On Ice is taking place this weekend and it’s going to be a very close call.

After 9 years of ice skating magic, the show is calling it a day and bowing out with the gripping finale of its All-Stars series. Battling it out to be crowned the ultimate Dancing On Ice winner are Beth Tweddle, Hayley Tamaddon and Ray Quinn.

Ahead of the final on Sunday night, we take a look at the three contenders and predict where they will end up in the final.

Beth Tweddle

The current champion, Beth skated away with the crown last year with her partner Daniel Whiston. This year Beth has been skating with Lukasz Rozycki meaning she’s had to get used to a new professional partner.

Technically she’s one of the strongest of the final three but the performance aspect of skating is what lets her down. We like Beth and she’s clearly a fighter but that performance side could let her down at the final hurdle unless she pulls out all the stops during the final.

We predict:Ā 3rd place

Best skate: Week 4. Beth finally pulled the performance out of the bag on this one.

Hayley Tamaddon

Everybody loves a journey don’t they? Well out of the final three it’s Coronation Street star Hayley Tamaddon that has been on the biggest journey this series. After a bit of a shaky start she’s grown in confidence week-on-week and she’s now on fire when it comes to wowing the judges and the audience.

She may not have the best technical skills of the bunch but Hayley brings a performance aspect with her partner Daniel Whiston to the show sets her out from her competitors. Last week Hayley showed she’s really improved her technique and we think she could prove the biggest surprise of the final.

We predict:Ā 1st place

Best skate: Week 4. That Charleston routine was something truly special and the moment Hayley become a contender.

Ray Quinn

From week 1 everyone has expected Ray to win and it’s not hard to understand why. The actor/singer is so confident on the ice that his partner Maria Filippov has labelled him the professional partner she never had. That’s kudos right?

As confident on his own as he is with Maria, Ray is far and away the best technical skater in the final. What could work against him though is that he’s been so good there’s been little room for improvement so it feels like he’s been consistently amazing.

We predict: 2nd place

Best skate: Week 4. All we can say is wow!

Tune into Dancing On Ice – The Final Sunday night at 7pm on ITV to find out who is the ultimate skating champion.
