The official app based on hit BBC One game show Pointless has been released today.
Fans can now play the game with friends on iOS and Android devices whenver they like. Pointless hosts Alexander Armstrong and Richard Osman guide players as they challenge friends or participate on their own.
Just like the TV show, the name of the game is obscure knowledge and competitors must score fewer points than their opponent by giving an answer no-one has thought of.
Alexander Armstrong says; “For ages people have been asking me why there isn’t a Pointless app and I always had to make up some sort of answer (“because of non-alignment of data across territories” – that one always worked better than “it’s because of the beavers”) anyway now I don’t have to make stuff up anymore because the Pointless appā¦ is HERE! Hooray! And it’s really, really good! Double hooray!”
Richard Osman adds; āThe new Pointless app is a great way for fans of the show to compete against each other and their friends, testing their knowledge of little known facts and figures. They might even get to play against meā¦ if they do then I hope they will respectfully let me winā
The new app will allow players to challenge each other via Facebook and has over 900 questions.
The Pointless app is priced at Ā£1.49 and is available now.
