British comedian Mel Smith has died of a heart attack aged 60.
BBC News reports that Smith’s agent confirmed the news today. The comedian was best-known for his comedy partnership with Griff Rhys Jones.
Since the news broke condolences and reactions have started to come in from friends, family and colleagues. Griff Rhys Jones said, ‘I still can’t believe this has happened.’
Smith found fame in sketch shows Alas Smith and Jones and Not The Nine O’Clock News.
