Robbie Williams has unleashed the chaotic music video for his new song ‘Rocket' featuring Black Sabbath legend Tony Iommi on guitar.
The song is the first to be taken from his upcoming album ‘BRITPOP’, which will be released on Columbia Records this autumn and is available to pre-order now. In the video, which is directed by Charlie Lightening, Williams can be seen wearing a punk-inspired outfit – red tartan trousers, heavy chain necklace and a leather biker jacket covered in graffiti – while he moves around several London landmarks accompanied by a flash mob, while other scenes were shot with Tony Iommi in his hometown, Birmingham.
Last week Williams received the prestigious PRS for Music Icon Award at the The Ivors 2025 in London. The annual ceremony, held at Grosvenor House, recognises and celebrates exceptional achievements in songwriting and screen composing. The award was presented to Robbie by Soft Play – his fifth Ivor Novello Award – in recognition of a songwriting career that has touched millions and defined a generation. The award celebrates Williams' 15 UK Number 1 albums, countless chart-topping hits and an enduring connection with fans, and recognises him as one of Britain’s most iconic and influential songwriters.
Williams' ‘BRITPOP’ stadium tour will see the global icon perform in cities across the UK, Ireland and Europe this summer – the first opportunity for fans to hear the new song ‘Rocket’ played live. The tour, originally titled ‘Robbie Williams Live 2025’ and now renamed ‘BRITPOP’, will open next week in Edinburgh on 31st May, before visiting London, Manchester and Bath.
